After you contact me, we’ll arrange a 15 minute, free chat over the phone where you can tell me a bit about what’s going on and what you hope to get from our sessions together. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions. If you’d like to move forward, we can discuss the times and anything else for our first session.

Yes. The only limitation is when there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else, in which case I'd ask your permission to share with your GP. Therapy serves as a safe environment for you to express your private thoughts or concerns that may be troubling you and openly discuss and share your anxieties.

In the first session I will get to know you, I’ll ask you some questions to get an idea of how I can help you. You’ll have time to tell me about your current situation and together we’ll develop goals and a plan for future sessions.

The quality of the relationship and how you connect with your counsellor or psychotherapist plays a crucial role in achieving positive outcomes. During your initial session you’ll have the opportunity to assess whether there is a sense of comfort and mutual understanding. Do you feel heard? Do you feel understood? Reflecting on this can be a good indication.

Whilst I continue with my music, my work is always booked 6-12 months in advance and will be set out accordingly, these periods never last longer than 2 weeks at a time, usually occurring once or twice a year. From my client’s perspective, this has always been experienced the same as a therapist taking annual leave and as such does not extend beyond a 2 week period. This will always be communicated in advance with as much notice as possible.
